Summer Positions Available:

Arts and Crafts Coordinator

Minimum age: 17

Responsibilities: To work with all groups twice a week. Teaching them new crafts and to think of new ideas and crafts. Also working with a kiln and creating ceramics.

Assistant Cook

Minimum Age: 18

Responsibilities: To assist the Food Service Manager with food preparation, cooking and clean-up of meals. To help with cleaning of kitchen, dishes and dining hall.

Canoe Instructor

Minimum Age: 18

Responsibilities: To teach our campers how to use a canoe, teach proper strokes & water safety. Also be guides on Rockfish Creek and Lake Upchurch. Plus help with trips for Cape Fear River and the beach.

Day Camp Counselors

Minimum Age: 17

Responsibilities: Supervision of children, run daily program, Bible studies, and to insure the safety of our campers. Also replace our resident counselors in the evenings for nights off.

Environmental Education Counselor

Age: 19 or one year of college.

Qualifications: Experience preferred (i.e. biology major)

Responsibilities: Counseling & teaching the children about nature, God's creation and environment. Use microscopes and lots of hands on training. Lead field trips.

Interns

Age: One year of college.

Qualifications: Experience in your field.

Positions available: Environmental Education, Marketing and Parks & Recreation.

Lifeguards

Age: 19

Qualifications: Current Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate of equivalent required, plus CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities: Safety of all campers and guests using the waterfront and pool. Work with the Water Front Director and Program Director.

Program Assistants

Minimum Age: 19

Responsibilities: Supervision of all children, youth groups, and staff, to insure the safety and well-being of each camper and staff, to create program activities, to work with additional churches and groups during the summer. To make announcements during staff meetings, campfires and morning devotions. To work closely with Program Director and Director.

Resident Counselors

Minimum Age: 19 or one year of college experience.

Responsibilities: Supervision of children and youth, to create program activities, Bible studies, insure the safety and well-being of each camper. To work closely with the program Assistants.
